These non-invasive and non-ablative treatments work by heating up the skin below the surface to encourage new collagen growth and help restore the skin’s natural firmness and tone. While they work more gradually than ablative lasers, these treatments typically require no downtime and can have lasting results for rejuvenating the appearance. A combined approach maybe required to achieve optimal results.
What treatment options do you offer that helps to rejuvenate my skin?
There are several non-invasive treatment options that help rejuvenate your skin with no down time so you can resume your normal daily activities straight after your treatment. Severity of the treatment and required number of treatments depend on skin condition and age group. This will be discussed during your consultation to verify the best treatment options and outcome for you.
- Microdermabrasion
- Micro-needling
- Chemical peels
- LED light
- Plasma Fibroblast
- Radio frequency face and body treatments
- HIFU face and body treatments
Are any of these treatment options painful?
We would not call it painful but instead you may feel discomfort with the deeper penetration treatment options such as RF and HIFU as they penetrate to deeper layers of the skin to form new collagen. Saying that, numbing is still not required except for micro-needling treatments. A couple of pain killer tablets are recommended half an hour before you start your treatment. You MUST consult with your doctor before you do so.
What results should I expect from the skin rejuvenation treatments?
Skin rejuvenation helps with many skin conditions and concerns such as fine lines, wrinkles, discolouration, pigmentation, dull looking skin and many more.
Advanced treatments options help rejuvenate saggy skin and offers lifting effect such as for eyebrows and jaw lines.

Cosmetic Tattooing, also called Semi-Permanent Makeup or Micropigmentation, is the process of implanting colour pigment beneath the surface of the skin by means of a tiny, sterile, disposable needle to produce the appearance of cosmetic makeup or to enhance the natural features of the face. At Derma Cosmetika we use the highest quality ink brand worldwide that does not contain heavy metals found in most permanent makeup.
The products are also vegan and cruelty-free. The founder and his team prioritize producing the highest quality pigments because they do not change colour, cause any reactions within the skin, or migrate. Over a million procedures using these pigments have been done worldwide and no case of a reaction has ever been reported.
Is cosmetic tattoo safe?
In the hands of a skilled person, the procedures are generally safe. It is important to choose an artist who is well educated on technique, products, tools, and safety. However, as any other procedure, there are some risks even minimal risks. These can be avoided when you discuss your health issues during your consultations and if you are on any medications. Also, rare side effects may happen if unexpected skin response occurs.
Microblading or powder brows?
Microblading is a tattooing technique in which a small handheld tool made of several tiny needles is used to add semi-permanent pigment to the skin. It is different from standard eyebrow tattooing because each hair stroke is created by hand whereas powder eyebrow tattoo is done with a machine. Microblading is typically used on eyebrows to create, enhance, or reshape their appearance.
We found the use of a machine is more comfortable with less pain for our patients as well as minimises the chances of skin scars. It is also a great method of eyebrow lifting and reshaping to enhance your natural beauty.
How long does cosmetic tattoo last?
About a year give or take on skin type. Normal or drier skin typically lasts a little longer than oily skin. Oily skin may not last as long and may require more touch ups.
How long is the tattoo appointment?
Usually 2-2.5 hours at your first appointment. The appointment includes consultation, brow design, your tattoo treatment, and aftercare discussion.
Your touch up appointment should take about one hour.
Does it Hurt?
It depends on your pain tolerance, but most have said on a scale of 1-10 it is about a 5 or 6. A topical anaesthetic is required 45 minutes before your treatments.
What can a cosmetic tattoo do for me?
It can enhance your natural beauty. You can wake up with semi-permanent makeup if you treat:
- Eyebrows
- Upper and/or eyeliner
- Lips
- Male hair root micro-pigmentation
- A wide range of camouflage after procedures
How many treatments do I need?
Usually one treatment to start with and a touch up in 8 weeks. A maintenance session is recommended every 6 month to 12 months depending on how long your skin holds the colour.
How much is cosmetic tattoo?
The prices below include main treatment and a touch up in 6 weeks.
Eyebrow first treatment- $750 including touch up
Upper eyeliner – $650 including touch up
Lower eyeliner – $450 including touch up
Lips – $600 including touch up

Plasma fibroblast therapy is an aesthetic procedure some aesthetic providers offer as an alternative to laser, injections, or surgical therapies to tighten and improve the appearance of skin.
This therapy is fairly new to the facial and cosmetic industry. Plasma fibroblast therapy targets fibroblasts. These are collagen– and protein-producing cells in the dermis, the layer of skin just below your outermost skin layer.
Fibroblasts play an important role in helping skin wounds heal as well as maintaining skin firmness and tightness.
Plasma fibroblast therapy uses a pen-like device that discharges a high-frequency electric current to small areas of the skin. The plasma tip doesn’t directly touch the skin, but instead releases a targeted current just above the skin. The hot current creates small holes, or micro-injuries, in the skin’s layer.
FAQ
What are the benefits of plasma fibroblast therapy and what can I treat with plasma fibroblast?
Plasma fibroblast therapy is a non-surgical treatment that may be used to treat the following conditions:
- Loose and saggy skin
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Droopy eyelids (Non-surgical blepharoplasty)
- Under eye bags
- Brow lift
- Crow’s feet
- Marionette lines
- Frown lines
- Forehead lines
- Neck lines (Non-surgical neck lift)
- Scars
- Stretch marks
- Acne scars
- Photo aging, including age spots
- Seborrheic keratosis (sun damage spots)
- Skin tags
- Smokers lines
We may also use plasma fibroblast therapy as an alternative to lip fillers to make the lips look fuller.
Does it work?
When plasma fibroblast therapy is performed in a safe, controlled environment, it can:
- Improve skin texture
- Offer mild-to-moderate skin tightening effects
- Result in some degree of skin facial contour change
What is the recovery like?
Once the procedure is completed, you can expect the small dots to scab over and fall off after about 1 week. Over the next couple of weeks, as your skin heals, it should appear tighter and firmer.
How many treatments do I need?
Some people may see benefits from one treatment, while others may require three treatments before they see results.

Acne is a very common inflammatory condition of the skin. It is caused by the blockage of skin pores by dead skin cells and dirt; causing a build-up of sebum and bacteria beneath, and leading to infection and inflammation. Most often this process is exacerbated by the hormonal changes that occur in the teenage years, but can also quite commonly occur in adulthood. Repeated attacks of acne can often lead to long-lasting or permanent skin changes.
The effects of long-term acne on the skin are two-fold. Acne marks are a temporary discoloration of the skin lasting 3-6 months whereby the skin appears smooth with darkened red areas. Acne scars however are caused by permanent skin damage which requires formal treatment in order to treat.
Do not:
- Squeeze or pick existing pimples or acne.
- Scrub your skin too vigorously.
- Apply friction or pressure, such as from collars, hats, helmets, and backpack straps.
- Expose to high humidity.
- Use oil- based cosmetic products, sunscreen, and hair products.
How can acne be treated?
For very severe cases of acne, formal dermatology review is recommended. However, for the majority of cases, there are multiple safe and effective treatment options for the management of acne; including:
- Microdermabrasion
- Chemical peels
- LED blue light
- Micro-needling
- Specialised skincare

Melanin is the natural pigment that gives colour to our skin, hair and eyes. Hyperpigmentation is the darkening of areas of the skin caused by an overproduction of melanin. A number of factors can trigger an increase in melanin production, including: age, genetic factors, sun exposure, hormonal influences and some inflammatory conditions. Although hyperpigmentation is a harmless condition, the spots it causes can often be quite prominent and aesthetically displeasing.
Types of hyperpigmentation include:
- Melasma – an overproduction of melanin caused by hormonal overstimulation; usually caused by high oestrogen levels as in pregnancy or with the use of Hormone Replacement Therapies
- Solar keratosis and solar lentigo – localised skin changes related to age and/or prolonged sun exposure
- Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) – hyperpigmentation that occurs at the site of previous inflammation; most often secondary to infection (as in acne) or some autoimmune conditions
- Freckles – spots of hyperpigmentation caused by a heightened sensitivity to sun radiation; usually as a result of genetic predisposition.
Treatments for Hyperpigmentation – what are the options?
Unfortunately, oftentimes the conditions leading to hyperpigmentation cause permanent skin changes that make long-term treatment quite difficult. However there are multiple treatments that have proven effective in reducing or eliminating the most prominent areas of pigmentation. These rely on the principle that the more superficial the pigment is in the skin, the darker it appears. As such, by removing the most superficial layers of skin where dark pigment is likely to be, a significant aesthetic effect can be achieved. A combination of treatments is often used to target both the superficial and deeper levels of pigmentation to achieve the best cosmetic results.
These treatment options include:
- Microdermabrasion
- Chemical Peels
- Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)
- Sunscreen and Sun Protection Measures
For melasma and other more stubborn pigmented lesions, a Cosmelan Peel is also recommended, due to its dual corrective and regulating action.

A stretch mark is a type of scar that develops when our skin stretches or shrinks quickly. The abrupt change causes the collagen and elastin, which support our skin, to rupture. As the skin heals, stretch marks may appear. Not everyone develops these narrow bands on their skin.
Stretch marks sometimes appear when you rapidly gain or lose weight. Teenagers may also notice stretch marks after a sudden growth spurt.
Stretch marks are also associated with long-term application of corticosteroids and with certain health conditions, such as Cushing’s disease and Marfan syndrome. Darker colored stretch marks, such as purple ones, are typically newer. Without treatment, they’ll usually fade to white or silver over time. Early approach is the best way to avoid permanent stretch marks
How is the best treatment for stretch marks?
Laser therapy, needling, and microdermabrasion are three clinical treatments for stretch marks.
Microdermabrasion involves exfoliating the skin in a way that at-home remedies cannot.Microneedling improves texture, firmness, and a reduction in scars.

Also known as microneedling or collagen induction. Skin needling is used for face and body skin rejuvenation and to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, improve skin tone, texture, and pigmentation. There is a reduced risk of hyperpigmentation and scarring with skin needling compared to more invasive procedures, and as such, it is safer on dark skin types.
What can skin needling do for me?
It is used to treat a wide range of skin conditions such as:
- Pigmentation
- Enlarged pores
- Stretch marks
- Acne scars
- Skin tightening
- Skin rejuvenation
The results of this treatment can be boosted by combining it with active skincare or hyaluronic acid for optimal results.

Microdermabrasion is a minimally invasive and very popular procedure used to renew overall skin tone and texture by exfoliating and removing the thin top layer of the skin (dead skin layer).
It can improve the appearance of:
- Sun damage
- Wrinkles
- Fine lines
- Age spots
- Acne scarring
It is important for the Therapist to use the appropriate settings for each skin type for two reasons; avoid skin damage for thin skin type’ patients and get optimal results for thick skin type’ patients.
A course of six treatments is usually good to start with but it is this kind of treatment that your skin will need all year around.

A chemical peel is a technique used to improve the appearance of the skin on the face, neck or hands. A chemical solution is applied to the skin that causes it to exfoliate and eventually peel off. The new, regenerated skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin.
The results are subtle but increase with repeated treatments. If you have a medium chemical peel, treated skin will be noticeably smoother.
What skin conditions does chemical peels treat?
- Dark spots
- Acne
- Dry skin
- Enlarged Pores
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Soothes scarring

LED Light is a safe type of lights that do not contain ultraviolet rays. Therefore, they’re safe for regular use. LED light therapy doesn’t cause burns compared to other types of lights such as lasers and IPL. It may be safe for all skin colors and types.
They come in different colours to treat several skin conditions. LED light comes in red, blue and infrared.
Red is good for skin rejuvenation, blue is good for inflamed acnes and infrared light helps cells regenerate or repair themselves. Infrared light also improves the circulation of oxygen-rich blood in the body, promoting faster healing of deep tissues and relieving pain
Infrared Light is recommended for:
- After surgical procedures for fast healing
- After laser treatments

- creams or other products that contain vitamin A, such as RetinA, or glycolic acid
What to expect during the my hair removal treatment?
First, the treatment area(s) will be cleansed. Then a cooling gel will be applied onto your skin. Once the gel is applied, the intense pulsed light, or IPL treatment will begin. During your treatment, you’ll need to wear laser/ IPL goggles or glasses to protect your eyes. The entire treatment is almost painless when compared to waxing. Every pulse during the procedure lasts for less than a single second and might sting your skin. Some people liken the feeling of being snapped with a rubber band.
Depending on which part of your body is being treated and how large the area is, the treatment should take anywhere from 5 minutes to 45 minutes20 to 30 minutes.
To get the results you want, you may need to have six to eight treatments. Those treatments should be spaced about 4 to 6 weeks apart to let your skin heal in between. Maintenance treatments might be required in 6 to 12 months time.
How well it works
It works better on thick, dark hair than on fine, light hair. You may need to have several treatments to achieve your desired result.

In some rare cases, you may experience:
- bruising
- blistering

What to expect afterward
You should be able to go right back to your regular activities. The treated area of skin might get red and sensitive for a few hours, as if you got sunburned. Your skin may be slightly swollen too. Your skin will continue to be sensitive for a couple of days so you will need to avoid using hot water on it until your skin heals.
Another thing to avoid after your treatment is exfoliating your skin, activities that cause you to sweat excessively, clothing that is extremely tight or restrictive, and direct sunlight. We will also help you with a list of things to do and avoid to ensure long lasting results.

Are very fine blood vessels that have burst under the skin that can appear in any location on the body, but are especially noticeable in the nose area or other regions of the face. The red veins take on the shape of spiderwebs, which is why they are also called “spider veins.”
Some of the most common reasons for broken capillaries include:
- Genetics
- Sun damage
- Rosacea
- Skin trauma
- Aging
- Diet
- Weather (sever cold or sever heat)
What are the function of capillaries?
Capillaries, the smallest and most numerous of the blood vessels, form the connection between the vessels that carry blood away from the heart (arteries) and the vessels that return blood to the heart (veins). The primary function of capillaries is the exchange of materials between the blood and tissue cells.
Why are capillaries so thin?
Capillaries are so thin to increase the pressure because if area of capillaries is bigger than normal then the pressure will decreases and blood could not able to reach to all organs of the body.
How do you treat broken capillaries?
Several ways to treat broken blood vessels exist, such as laser treatments or IPL. They help to get rid of the unwanted blood vessels, by reducing them without damage to the skin
For bookings and consultation, speak to one of our team.
They are skin conditions affected by vascular lesions.
Some of these conditions are:
- Facial telangiectasia
- Rosacea
- Broken capillaries
- Cherry angiomas
- Poikiloderma of civatte
- Port wine stains
- Spider veins
- Varicose veins
- Reticular idiopathic telangiectasia
- Birth marks
How do we treat vascular lesions?
We use IPL which stands for “intense pulsed light”. It’s a type of light therapy used in a wide range of aesthetic treatments including vascular lesions.
How does intense pulsed light therapy work?
IPL systems work on the same principles as lasers in that light energy is absorbed into particular target cells with colour (chromophores) in the skin. The light energy is converted to heat energy, which causes damage to the specific target area.
Candela IPL system delivers many wavelengths (or colours) in each pulse of light. It uses filters to refine the energy output for the treatment of certain areas. This enhances penetration without using excessive energy levels and enables targeting of specific chromophores (these are skin components that absorb light).
IPL therapy is considered a non-ablative resurfacing technique, which means that it targets the lower layers of skin (dermis) without affecting the top layers of skin (epidermis).

Blepharoplasty is the surgical rejuvenation of the upper and lower eyelids (periorbital rejuvenation). Hooded eyelids and laxity of skin for upper and lower eyelids are common for men and women and need to be addressed as we age. The non-surgical options are also good alternatives but not as successful for severe skin laxity.
Plasma Fibroblast is one of the best non-surgical blepharoplasty as it helps to shrink and tightens eyelids after one to three treatments.
To improve the area further, eyebrow lift may be performed for optimal outcome.

Aging means changes in your skin and body, especially the appearance of your face and neck.
Why neck skin sags
Collagen is the most abundant protein in your body. It holds your skin in its structure and forms the joint tissue between your muscles and bones.
Your body naturally produces collagen, but as you age, the production of this important protein decreases. As a result, your skin becomes less elastic, and wrinkles start to become visible. Neck lines and wrinkles are a normal part of aging.
Your lifestyle is an important factor in maintaining healthy looking skin. Some of the factors that can contribute to early wrinkles include:
- Smoking
- Sun exposure
- Extreme weight loss or gain
How do I improve the look of my neck?
Ultrasound therapy targets the face and neck. Ultrasound waves penetrate deep into your skin to stimulate collagen production. Some people only need one round of this therapy, while others need to go back to repeat treatment.
Radiofrequency is yet another form of treatment that stimulates protein production in your skin’s deeper layers to try to make it firmer.
Go to Exilis Ultra 360 and Ultraformer III (HIFU) for detailed treatment options .
Also remember to drink water and stay hydrated and use rich hand creams to maintain treatment results.

Lip wrinkles, which are sometimes called lip lines, lipstick lines, or smoker’s lines, are the little vertical lines that form on the lips of older adults. These lines are notoriously difficult to conceal. Getting rid of your lip lines, rather than trying to cover them up, can easily take 10 years off your face.
Causes
After age 20, you produce about 1% less collagen every year. As collagen production decreases, the skin becomes thinner and less elastic. The lips, which are typically puffy during youth, become noticeably deflated as you age.
Aging skin also produces less oil and is prone to dryness due to their constant exposure to the sun. This is called photoaging.
Lip wrinkles on the upper lip are often caused by smoking. Smoking produces free radicals in the body, which contribute to premature aging. Lip wrinkles may also be contributed to pursing of the lips associated with drinking through a straw or repetitive facial expressions.
How to improve and reduce the look of lip lines?
There are some treatment options available such as:
- Anti-wrinkle injections, muscle relaxant, need to be topped up every three to four months.
- Laser resurfacing is a great treatment option. It requires one to two weeks downtime depending on the severity of the settings used.
- Plasma Fibroblast is another great treatment option which stimulates collagen, shrinks and tightens skin with one week downtime.
- Ultrasound (HIFU) which is also an effective way for collagen stimulation and skin tightening with no downtime.
- Skin needling a collagen induction treatment with no down time. Fast and effective.

Gynecomastia is a common condition in males. It is an enlargement or swelling of breast tissue in males. Gynaecomastia can be caused by an imbalance between the sex hormones testosterone and oestrogen. Oestrogen causes breast tissue to grow. While all men produce some oestrogen, they usually have much higher levels of testosterone, which stops the oestrogen from causing breast tissue to grow.
There are two surgical options to treat gynaecomastia; liposuction for fat reduction and/or mastectomy for breast glands tissue removal. If gynecomastia doesn’t improve on its own or if it causes significant pain this might be an indication of existing glands tissue and you need to seek your doctor’s advice.
At Derma Cosmetika we offer a non-surgical option for gynaecomastia fat reduction. Exilis Ultra 360 is a non-invasive and non-surgical treatment option with no down time.

Cellulite is a very common, harmless skin condition that causes lumpy, dimpled flesh on the thighs, hips, buttocks and abdomen. As fat cells increase, they push up against the skin while the long, tough cords pull down. This creates an uneven surface or dimpling, often referred to as cellulite.
By reducing the amount of fat cells, this will reflect on the appearance of cellulite.
There are a couple of surgical and non-surgical options available to treat cellulite with similar results.
One of the surgical options is laser liposuction. And one of the non-surgical options is what we offer at Derma Cosmetika which is the advanced technology found in our Exilis Ultra 360 to improve cellulite. It is non-surgical, non-invasive with no down time and also FDA and TGA approved.

Ultraformer III (HIFU) (FDA & TGA approved)
Ultraformer III is a completely non-invasive, skin lifting and tightening treatment that will lift and contour your face, neck and body with no downtime.
Ultraformer III is widely used in over 50 countries with over 10 million treatments performed globally.
It utilises High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) technology to either remodel collagen to remove wrinkles and repair sagging skin or to tighten tissue on the body. The wide range of Ultraformer III cartridges enable us to target different depths of the face for a totally customised treatment.
HIFU-powered transducers deliver concentrated waves of ultrasound into multiple layers of skin and body tissues without making direct contact with surrounding areas. Transferring stabilized temperatures of 65-75°C into the targeted zones, the ULTRAFORMER III aims to induce a process of nucleogenesis in the face while tightening body tissues for contouring purposes.
Patients can notice immediate results with progressive improvement up to 90 days post-treatment for peak results. These results can be maintained from 12-24 months afterwards.

Is there any preparation before treatment? Is there any downtime?
There are no special requirements or dress-codes prior to treatment. If you are sensitive to pain and discomfort, it may suit you to take some mild pain medication prior to ensuring your comfort. Average treatment times are 15 to 25 minutes and you can return to your regular daily activities immediately after. You may experience some slight redness that can be covered with mineral makeup and will subside within the following few hours.
When will I see results?
Some benefits can be seen immediately, with final results seen after 4 to 12 weeks depending on the area being treated.
Is there any pain during treatment?
The ULTRAFORMER III delivers comfortable procedures with all Cartridge applicators designed to accommodate diverse skin profiles. That being said, practitioners and patients who have previously experienced treatment in comparison with other devices report minimal pain on target areas of both the face and body.
How many treatments are required?
Most patients will see a result from one treatment; however we do recommend annual maintenance treatments to help keep you looking youthful.
How does the ULTRAFORMER III remove fat from the body?
Cartridges applied to the skin disrupt and kill a targeted layer of fat cells, which are then transferred through the body’s lymphatic system to the liver. Rest assured, fat cell debris targeted by the ULTRAFORMER III Cartridges undergo natural disposal through the body’s metabolism very much similar to the process of daily food consumption!
Are there any side effects?
Some patients may experience slight redness and swelling on the treated areas ranging from a few hours up to a few days. There may also follow temporary bruising and numbness on the areas treated but no such responses should warrant a visit to the emergency room!
Am I a candidate for the ULTRAFORMER III?

You use your hand in everything you do and as you get older, your hands give away your age more than your face because of the small amount of subcutaneous fat in the hands, and the constant exposure to sun, extreme hot and cold, water from daily washing, and chemicals this sometimes makes your hands look older than your are.

FAQ

Engineered with endless capabilities, offering combination options, Ultraformer III is designed to treat:
- Loose and sagging skin
- Eyebrow lift
- Skin folds
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Signs of ageing
- Skin laxity
- V-Line contouring
- Body contouring

* A combined approach with another treatment might be required for optimal results.
